Review: L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Cream for Medium Skin Tone

I love a good BB cream, and this ones a favourite. I've had this for quite a while actually, i originally bought it because i liked the packaging and the idea of smart pigment capsules. Now, i would says its a forever repurchase item because i have grown to love it, but at £9.99 i think its too expensive for me to stick to it forever, also this might just be me but i feel like a BB cream should be less expensive than foundation?

The first thing that caught my eye was the packaging, i think it looks quite high end for a drugstore brand, another thing about the packaging i like  is that the tip is quite narrow, the product does not squirt out everywhere and get wasted. (I have a habit of over squeezing tubes, i only now have a tiny bit left of my Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur that featured in my August Favourites *sad face*) For some of you it might not be ideal that only a little BB cream comes out at a time, but for me its fab :)

The cream is a pale whitish colour with purple and brown gritty specs, these are the smart pigment capsules! Once you start applying the cream and the pigments touch skin they develop into colour, now i think that is just fabulous. Yes, it can be seen as slightly gimmicky but i think its fab! This BB cream gives a lovely light coverage, isn't greasy, covers blemishes and blends brilliantly to even out my skin tone. The main thing i love about BB creams is that they are effortless to apply, and these days i feel like i have no time in the mornings to get ready, so BB cream is Gabby's best friend.

I would recommend this BB cream to someone, overall for me it does give flawless coverage, leaves my skin feeling hydrated ( v. important for me, such dry skin!)  and evens my skin tone.

What are your opinions on BB creams and any other recommendations out there?

ciao xo

  2. I love bb creams, they're so much lighter than a foundation. great review, I thought the same about the packaging and I definitely want to try it, would really love if you could check out my fashion blog? :)

    1. I hardly wear foundation anymore and this is perfect !! Will look now lovely :) x

  3. I've been looking at this for a while but could never decide whether or not to buy it. It sounds lovely though. It's nice to hear it isn't greasy looking, I've found a lot of BB creams I've used in the past looked awful on my skin.
