August Favourites

Hello! So September is upon us and the dramatic change in the weather is making me excited for coats, scarves, layers and boots! I love autumn! Anyway, august was such a busy month for me with work, V festival and not forgetting my 21st, which i am in the middle of writing a post about so will put that up within the next week.  Anyway, enough rambling and let me get on with some of my august favourites! (p.s. Maybelline was on 3 for 2 in boots a few weeks ago and now this post is filled with Maybelline)

August Favourites

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur in Cool Rose

I love this! It brightens my dull skin and adds radiance, my skin does get quite dry and dull and the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur in Cool Rose leaves my complexion looking perky and feeling fresh, because it is a water- based primer it helps my skin feel hydrated.  Also, i often find myself rushing out the door for work in the mornings and my skin most definitely looks fatigued, literally applying this makes such a difference and only takes a quick second, i only wear this some days and it doesn't give a high coverage, but i was looking for something just to freshen up my skin, not something that provided high coverage. The packaging is super cute too, and I'm a sucker for cute things. This was £7.99 from boots, i work next door to boots and it gets quite dangerous, a cheeky purchase here and there ends up being like £70 a week!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer

I struggle so much with finding drugstore foundations and concealers that actually match my skin colour and tone, so this concealer was a miracle find! It works wonders on my under eye area , (bags develop when you work pretty much full time as an assistant manager waaaaah), the coverage is fabulous and the creamy texture means that it doesn't gather into my creases of look cakey. It covers my dark circles incredibly well, and its also been a staple piece in my very limited make up bag this month! The reason its limited is because of time, I'm usually out the door before half eight and enjoy sleep too much to bother with a full face of make up for work, this concealer is one of my 'natural look' day staples. (i say natural look, but i usually look more like I've just woken up!) But, yeah this is fab and i have been using for a few weeks now and i don't think i will stop! Again, this was £7.99 in boots!

Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder With Blush in Bronzed Tropics

So this was the last of my Maybelline purchases, and its so cute! I loved the look of this product so i gave it a whirl! I've been using this everyday along with the other two products mentioned above, and i honestly think i have found my new bronzer! I struggle with bronzers too, because of my complexion, so finding one to compliment my skin tone is fabulous.  Yes, its a 2 in 1, but I've been using it as a bronzer, purely because my blush is Nars orgasm and that will never change! Bronzed Tropics is the darker shade, the paler one is called Golden Tropics i believe. The bronzer looks so natural, as in its not highly pigmented (avoiding the orange look!) and the blush is slightly peachy, together it adds a nice glow to my cheeks! This was £6.49 from boots too! Also, the Maybelline rampage has come to an end now!

Rimmel  London Wonder'full Mascara with Argan Oil

Oh My Gosh. I got really excited about this mascara because it contained Argan Oil! I use Argan Oil on my hair, i love it! To have it in a mascara too made me overly happy in the middle of boots. The brush has thin and spiky bristles, which also works out fab for my lower lashes. I love this because its not too clumpy and leaves my lashes still looking quite soft and flexible! I can't have small lashes, no matter where I'm going, i have to have mascara on, and this one has been a wonderful addition to my collection, it lengthens them perfectly! This was on an introductory offer when i bought it, i think its £7.99 now

House of Holland Vamps False Nails

I love getting my nails done, i haven't had acrylics since my graduation in July because of work, i work in a shoe shop and they break so easily with delivery and stuff :(  It was my 21st on the 28th August and i wanted my nails done, but was straight back in work like the day after so didn't want to pay for a full set, i saw these in boots the week before and thought I'd give them a whirl. I loved the colour and shape instantly, the extra bit of bling on a nail made them stand out, they were easy to use and the glue wasn't a pain. They looked great and i loved them! Shame i broke them all in my drunken state :( , they can last 10 days, I've had House of Holland nails last around a week before. I just love the colour and shape of these!

And there we go, my August favourites, which a all beauty related this month! Like i said, working next to boots does not help! xo
